This Is How The World Ends

For the first time in my brief blogging career, the movie quote in the title of my blog is from a movie I didn't like.  The movie is "Southland Tales," starring The Rock and Seann William Scott.  You'd seriously have to be on crack to understand what's going on in this movie.  I didn't even finish it and I was already bored out of my mind to begin with.  Besides, I don't think Justin Timberlake would be my first choice for someone to narrate my movie...but that's just me.

So yesterday was awesome.  I was invited to go to Montreat's golf tournament in order to talk to the golfers at each tee box, and I wasn't overly excited about it, but it actually turned out to be a really great time.  All of the golfers were really nice, and they also provided us with lunch from Chick-Fil-A and dinner from Texas Roadhouse.  Besides, all I really had to do was sit outside on a gorgeous day and get up to talk to people every 15 minutes or so.  If that wasn't enough, I also got to meet Tommy Bowden (who is the man, by the way) and got to put the time I spent there down on my time sheet.  Afterwards I went to visit my grandmother, who would've been celebrating her wedding anniversary.  Unfortunately her husband passed away about two and half years ago, so he obviously couldn't bring her carnations anymore like he always used to.  Since I hadn't seen her in a while, I thought it'd be nice to swoop in and give her some carnations...which was quite nice.  We talked to each other for a little over two hours before we were too exhausted to go on.  Yes, I'd say Tuesday was quite a day.

Alright then, I have the rest of the day off and it would be an affront against everything I stand for if I didn't spend it out in the sun.  On the note, good day to you all.

i think some liquor would have helped me understand the movie a lot better, but then that's just my personal preference.  if you prefer crack that's fine for you
